Who we are.

The Gold Coast Doctor Society (GCDS) represents more than 500 doctors working and training across the Gold Coast Hospital and Health Service, with over 100 new residents joining our community each year.

Our mission is to empower, protect, and elevate the lived experience of all doctors working within GCHHS.

As an independent not-for-profit organisation, we do this through focused action across the portfolios of Advocacy, Health & Wellbeing, Social and Academic.

Our work.

Advocacy: representing doctors on important issues, coordinating feedback, leading petitions and position statements, and engaging directly with leadership to drive change.

Health & Wellbeing: delivering wellbeing initiatives and practical resources that help doctors stay healthy, supported, and sustainable in their work.

Social: creating connection through social mixers, networking events, and flagship celebrations that build pride and belonging.

Academic: running teaching sessions, career events, research opportunities, and skill-building initiatives that support lifelong professional growth.

Our values.
